Shaker Box is an application designed to emulate the experience of playing a traditional shaker instrument using an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.

The app utilizes high-precision accelerometer data to detect shaking motions, enabling users to simulate the act of shaking a real instrument. It offers a selection of professionally recorded shaker sounds and three distinct interaction modes for varied musical expression.

Shake Mode allows users to activate sounds by physically shaking the device, replicating the motion of an actual shaker.

Tap Mode provides a tap-pad interface, where tapping rhythmically triggers shaker loops synchronized with the user's taps.

Loop Mode enables users to establish a tempo—either manually or via tap-tempo—and the app plays a continuous shaker loop at the chosen speed.
